FMR Costumes was founded by Renée April, Mario Davignon and Fabienne April, costume designers and period costumes enthusiasts. They kicked-off their dream in the 80s and achieved, over time, to collect an incredible amount of clothing and accessories spanning numerous periods, and to build an invaluable private collection.
Since May of 2013, Raquel Torres - a long time employee of the costumier - and her family have taken the helm and have continued to enrich this beautiful and precious collection that is very useful to producers, artisans and costume specialists.
Even though this is a private collection, the owners who are aware of it's priceless value, work daily to preserve and to insure its sustainability, having established strong roots in the Quebec cinematographic community. Collaborations also take place with institutions and individuals who offer programs in costume design.
